PEYTON MANNING'S BRONCO DEBUT ON MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL, WASN'T AS BAD AS IT SEEMS. 3 PICKS AND ALL.
Manning after his third, first quarter pick.
Peyton Manning had winning expectations on Monday Night Football in Atlanta. He didn't expect to open up the game with three straight picks and a Knowshon Moreno fumble. The Falcons defense was the clear winner at the end of the first quarter, but the rest of the game was a different story. Denver's defense, despite being put in short field situations, held their own the remainder of the game. Michael Turner, the Falcons go to back, was shut down and Julio Jones, there young up and coming receiver, dropped a TD pass early and was virtually not an issue as Champ Bailey shut him down. Roddey White on the other hand was having his was way with Tracy Porter and, in zone coverage's, having his way with the other backs including Rahim Moore. Unlike previous years, Denver fans could be down in the game and still have hope because of one man, PFM! Peyton led a comeback the last 3 quarters that came up just short in the end. 27-21 was the final in favor of the ATL, but Broncos fans can take a lot out of this game. A lot of what if, but still, do you really think Peyton will do this again? All signs point to NO!! If Peyton only threw 2 picks instead of 3, the ending score would obviously be a lot different. If "NO SHOW" Moreno, a nick name Denver fans have adopted for Knowshon Moreno, didn't fumble the ball while Peyton was doing his thing in ATL territory, the end score would be a lot different. All those things did happen and the Broncos came out with a loss, but a lot to hold there high on. The last 3 quarters were all Broncos. Going into next week as the Broncos host the Texans, you already know Peyton will come out on fire and it could be a long day for the Texans D, hence why I'm starting the Bears D in fantasy over Houston.

A clip from Monday night in the ATL.
